Ladies Report 6 - 2016/2017

In Division 3A, St Leonards C's Sharon May, Rachel Marson, Katie Brown and Anne Trevena beat Chulmleigh 4-2 in a closely-contested match. Chulmleigh's points were won by Jackie Anderson and Cath Escritt and by Jackie partnering Michelle Wylde.

 
Chulmleigh's Michelle Wylde, Karen Parish, Jackie Anderson and Cath Escritt beat Cranford 5-1.  Cranford's point was picked up by Lisa Stevens and Karen Cunningham-Smith.  Very friendly, great games in good spirit were reported  The final scoreline did not reflect the close games enjoyed.    Chulmleigh had the benefit of a walkover when Honiton were unable to raise a team for Honiton's last match.
 
There is one match to play in Division 3, between Chulmleigh and Sidmouth.  With one point separating these teams at the top of the table and both teams more than 10 points clear of Cranford in third place, this will decide the Division winner and runner-up.
 
In Division 2, St Leonards A's Louise Gubbin, Astrid Janssens,  Kay Brewer and Sue Banks continued their unbeaten run to date this season when they beat both Otter Vale A and Otter Bale B 6-0.  The Saints have still dropped just one point all season and, with a match in hand, are clear winners of Division 2. 
 
St Leonards B's Nikki Anslow, Laura Britton, Jess Hand, and Ruth McClelland  beat Ringswell B 5-1. Ringswell B's point was picked up by Sharon Strong and Anne Jones
There are just two matches left to play in Division 2: Otter Vale B to play St Leonards B followed by Ringswell B.
 
In Division 1, the last match has been played.  Exeter B's Katie Scotter, Stacey Horne, Verity Greenaway and Theresa Ford won their first match of the season when they clinched a 4-2 victory over an under-strength Ringswell  A. Ringswell's points were won by Jess Hill partnering Sylvia Child and by Jess partnering Chloe Tsang.  Ringswell A finish third, ahead of Exeter B but behind St Leonards A.  Queens are the Division and League champions.
