In Division 1, last season's league winners Queens' Sarah Preece, Bronya Pike, Lauren Theedom and Kate Povey began the defence of their title with a 4-2 win over Ringswell A. Ringswell A'spoints were won by the partnerships of Suzanne Owens & Sylvia Child and Claire Harrison & Jess Hill.

With Jackie Kirby in place of Bronya, Queens followed this with a convincing 5-1 win over Exeter A . Rowan Despard and Katie Scotter won Exeter's point.
Exeter A's Julia Melling, Nikita Smethurst, Rowan Despard and Vicky Prouse. settled for a draw against 3 -3 Ringswell A's Claire Harrison, Jess Hill, Suzanne Owens and Sylvia Child.
In Division 2, Ringswell B's Becky Bailey, Sharon Strong, Anne Jones and Di Brooker beat Sidmouth 6-0 without dropping a game. Otter Vale A's Teresa Simic, June Goode Heather Rake and Anne Drury also comfortably beat Sidmouth 6-0 in straight sets.
Last season Division 2 winners, St Leonards B's Jess Hand, Sharon May, Nikki Anslow and Rachel Marson showed their strength when they Otter Vale A 5-1. Teresa Simic and Heather Rake picked up Otter Vale's point. The match score did not do justice to Otter Vale as four rubbers were decided over three ends in this closely-fought match.
In Division 3A, Honiton's Helena Williams, Janet Ingram, Zaria Taylor and Sue Fallows clinched a 4-2 victory over Clyst Vale. "Great games as always" were reported. Clyst Vale's Imogen Batton partnered Lucy Ferrier and Rachel Dare in turn to pick up two points for their team. 
Otter Vale B's Anne Drury, Claire Ross, Sue O'Brien and Maxine Sweetman beat Cranford 6-0. Only Liane O'Donell and Maureen Martin succeeded in taking a game off Otter Vale
