St Leonards B keep clean sheet to wrap up Christmas win.

In Division 2a, the St Leonards B team of Jess Hand & Malcolm Travis, Kay Brewer & Andy Rowe and Astrid Jannsens & Phil Matthews beat Otter Vale A 9-0, but the match was taken right to the wire, with the final rubber decided 22-20 in the third end to secure the clean sweep. St Leonards B also celebrated a 7-2 win over Ringswell B with Jess & Malcolm unbeaten once again and both of Ringswell’s points coming from Sharon Strong & Ben Boyland. Sidmouth A remain at the top of the division thanks to a 7-2 win over Otter Vale A with the partnerships of Lisa Maskell & John Carter and Anne Povall & Paul Carter unbeaten for Sidmouth. An amended result due to an unregistered player saw the match between Sidmouth B and Exeter B awarded to Sidmouth B 9-0.
Chulmleigh go into the Christmas break at the top of Division 2b after the team of Michelle Wylde & Mat Older, Karen Parish & Adrian Bourner and Amy Holland & Ben Hamill beat Otter Vale B 8-1 with the point for Otter Vale being won by Anne Drury & Chris Smith to prevent a whitewash. An unbeaten performance from Clyst Vale A’s Nicola Martin & Steve Thompson helped their team to a 7-2 win over Ringswell C. Ringswell C bounced back 6 days later to beat Otter Vale B 7-2 with Di Brooker & Brian Jeary and Jeannette Allen & Adam Brown unbeaten for Ringswell.
In Division 3a, Honiton B continue to be the team to beat thanks to wins over both Cranford B and Raleigh. The team of Sue Caller & Mark Stanley, Zaria Taylor & Simon Walker and Sue Fallows & Ben Bennett beat Cranford B 9-0. Zaria and Simon were also unbeaten in Honiton B’s 7-2 win over Raleigh although Raleigh were unfortunate when one of their players was injured in their first rubber and was unable to carry on, conceding their remaining two rubbers.
The Cranford A team of Rowan Despard & Zac Phillips, Claire Hannah & Jamie Roberton and Nikita Smethurst & Mark Trebble beat St Leonards A 9-0. Cranford A have also beaten Queens 7-2, Claire and Mark were also unbeaten in this match partnered by Dan Corby and Betty Blair respectively.
