Sidmouth gift Clyst Vale early Xmas present

In Division 3, Clyst Vale profited at 2 pair Sidmouth B, winning their first match of the season by the narrowest of margins, 5-4. James Allum, Dan Cordey and John Edwards with Nigel German got on the scoresheet for Clyst Vale.
A full strength Sidmouth B beat 2 pair Ringswell B 5-4, with the pairing of James Newcombe/Graham Baker bagging a brace of wins.
St Leonards C picked up their 4th consecutive win of the season, beating Exeter D 7-2. The Saints pair of youth and experience in Ali Rehemi/Martin Matthews was rarely troubled on their way to 3 wins. Neil Shire and Mark Winstanley rescued 2 points for Exeter D.
Raleigh have withdrawn their team from the League after struggling to raise a team for fixtures. All previous completed matches involving Raleigh are now declared null and void.
 
Ringswell A have been involved in 2 tense matches in Division 1, beating Sidmouth A 5-4 and losing by the same scoreline to Cranford.
Paul Owens and Ian Walsh bagged 2 wins for Ringswell A, including the decisive 9th rubber. The fabulous Carter boys – Paul and John – put in a flawless performance for Sidmouth, winning all 3 of their rubbers.
Cranford’s Zac Phillips and Joe Davis stormed to 3 wins against Ringswell A to edge the match 5-4 in Cranfords favour.
Exeter A remain unbeaten at the top of the League, following an 8-1 win over Ringswell A and a 7-2 victory over Sidmouth A. The Dan Harris/Mark Trebble combo put in an unbeaten display in both matches.
 
In Division 2, the St Leonards A team of Tim Wardale, Phil Nicholls, Mark Newson, Leo Robbins, Guy Sweetman and Malcolm Travis came away with a 9-0 win over Queens B. Queens B battled valiantly, taking 4 rubbers to a decisive 3rd game, and were unlucky not to pick up any points.
Exeter B completed a 9-0 double over St Leonards B and in so doing so strengthened their grip at the top of Division 2. Exeter’s reserve pairing Jack Southcott and Alex Bulley impressed with 3 wins.
Otter Vale picked up their first points of the season in a 7-2 reverse to Exeter C. The Exeter pairs of Alastair Banks/Sunam Uddin and Jack Southcott/Tim Hackett secured the win with 3 wins apiece.
