Ringswell A in Seventh Heaven

 A 7-2 win for Division 2 leaders Ringswell A over 2nd placed St Leonards A gave them their 7th win in a row. The  team of Nigel Osbourne, Steve Rice, Paul and Callum Owens, Ian Walsh and Guy Rollinson have opened up an 11 point lead at the top.

This win followed on from a 9 -0 thrashing of bottom placed St Leonards B.
 
Ringswell’s Paul Owens commenting on their success said “This season we have had a settled team. The consistent performances have brought us great results but our target is to win promotion with a 100% win record”
 
St Leonards A scraped a lucky 5-4 win over a revitalised Exeter C team. The Saints pairing of Guy Sweetman and Anthony Towl saved 2 match points, before winning the decisive rubber against Exeter’s Jack Southcott and Alex Bulley 15-21, 21-13, 22-20. Exeters Dave Harland and Alastair Banks grabbed 3 wins but still ended up on the losing side.
 
In Division 3 Sidmouth B have closed the gap on leaders St Leonards D to only 2 points after they notched up their 3rd and 4th wins.
 
Sidmouth new boys Alan Soper, Steve Stone and Nick Gidley all got on the scoresheet on their debut in their 6-3 win over against Clyst Vale.
 
Sidmouths Paul Carter marked his return to the team by partnering Paul Merchant to 3 wins, helping his team beat Exeter D 6-3. Teammates Graham Baker and Steve Smith weighed in with a brace of wins. Exeters points came courtesy of Andy Sands and Sam O’Connor (2), Steve Spencer and Dave Marrison (1) and Ian Halliday and Mike Strawbridge (1).
 
St Leonards D hit top form with in their 8-1 win over Chulmleigh. A hat trick of wins from James Lam/James Tribe and Chris Neill/Mark Stanley and 2 wins from Christie Clarke and Barrie Sharman steered the saints to their best win of the season. Richie Herkes and Adrian Bourner salvaged a point for Chulmleigh.
 
Division 1 leaders Exeter A showed no mercy in their in house derby, beating Exeter B 9-0 and in so doing stretched their lead at the top to 12 points.
 
The Cranford A team of Mark Trebble, Zak Phillips, Vernon Smeed, Joe Davies, Mark Anderson and Jamie Roberton all scored 2 wins to help their team beat Queens A 6-3. Ben Watkins and Harry Hacking were undefeated for Queens.
 
Queens A had an 8-1 win over a weakened 2 pair Sidmouth A, but were made to work hard for the points with 4 of the rubbers going to a 3rd game. John Carter and Martyn Schimdt picked up the solitary point for Sidmouth.
