Queens A hit Goode form

In Division 1 Tim Goode with 3 wins steered Queens A to their best result of the season – a 6-3 win over Exeter B. He was partnered by Dan Chow, making his first appearance for Queens. Liam Sillifant and James Bell chipped in with 2 wins and Nick Masson and Lloyd Skinner added 1 win to complete the 6-3 win. The pick of the pairs for Exeter were Ross Coomber and Rob Flack with 2 wins. 

In Division 2 University got back to winning ways with a comfortable 7-2 win over Exeter C. The students captain Steven Ford and his partner Darren Walsh played some fine attacking badminton on their way to 3 wins. Andy Wong and Sanson Poon along with Spencer Teng and George Humby weighed in with 2 wins apiece. Dave Harland and Chris Bowker salvaged 2 points for Exeter.

Queens B picked up their 3rd win on the trot beating Exeter C 6-3. It was a fine team effort with all 3 pairs of Mike Barlow, Andy Hawkins, Nick Masson, Lloyd Skinner, Emmanuel Sapin and Mat Powell picking up 2 wins each. The star pair of the night was on the losing team – Exeter’s Dave Harland and Alastair Banks winning all 3 in a losing cause.
Adrian Wijay (3) produced his best badminton of the season to help St Leonards A whitewash St Leonards B 9-0, and in so doing they completed the double over their teammates this season and jumped above University into 2nd place.
 
In Division 3A Otter Vale’s fine run of form continues as they extended their unbeaten run to 2 matches with a battling 6 – 3 win over St Leonards C. The Otter Vale pairing of Brian Deem and Mark Brown impressed with 3 wins. Dan Clark and Ray Puttick contributed 2 wins and David Williamson and Nik Williamson 1 win. St Leonards points came courtesy of Ali Rehemi and Martin Matthews (2) and Mike Lamboll/Pierre Aumjaud (1).
 
Sidmouth B remain the only unbeaten team in Division 3B after inflicting a first defeat on Chulmleigh. Steve Pritchard and Paul Merchant laid the foundations for a 6-3 win, with 3 wins of their own. They were assisted by Graham Baker/Rod Bolam (2) and Dave Bromage/Steve Smith (1).
Chumleigh had a 9-0 walkover over Exeter D, as Exeter failed to honour the fixture.
