Queens A have extended their lead at the top of Division 1 by 11 points following an 8-1 win over Exeter B. All the Young dudes of Queens -Zac “Ziggy” Phillips, Ian Kirby, Darren Frisby, Oscar Mo, Jamie Roberton and Sam Clarke – contributed to the win, with Gary Bourner and Dave Spencer picking up the solitary point for Exeter B.

Exeter B made 3 chchanges for their next match against Exeter A. The match was a bit of an oddity. At one time Exeter A were under pressure with the match score being 4-2 to Exeter B. However Exeter A rose like Lazarus, winning the final 3 rubbers.
The Exeter B team were dancing in the street following their first win in 7 matches beating St Leonards A 6-3. Each Exeter pair - Steven Ford/Alexei Bessudnov, Gary Bourner/Sunam Uddin, Dave Harland and Bibek Guring - bagged a brace of wins, with Adrian Midmer and Major Tom Phillips being the pick of the Saints pairs with 2 wins.

In Division 2 the Exeter C team of Alex Bulley, Jack Southcott, Tom Laver, Bibek Guring, Alastair Banks and Chris Bowker fashioned an 8-1 win over Chulmleigh.
Ray Puttick and Chris Smith were the heroes for Otter Vale in their match against Chulmleigh. They were unbeaten and 2 wins for Mark Brown/Brian Deem and 1 win for Dan Clark and David Williamson completed the scoring.
St Leonards C heaped more sorrow on winless Chulmleigh with an 8-1 win. The Saints pairs of Ian Jameson/John Gubbin and Leo Robbins/Andy Rowe were unbeaten, with Chulmleighs pair of John Down and Adrian Bourner having their moment of fame by winning their teams point.

Phil Matthews was the star man for St Leonards B as his team beat St Leonards C 8-1. The final score was not a true reflection of the match with 6 of the 9 rubbers going to a 3rd game. Saints C captain Leo Robbins quoted “Well played to the B team. Where are we now? We had a fantastic chance to win our first match over our B team for 5 years but played like absolute beginners at crucial times”.

In Division 3A, Ringswell B’s winning run now extends to 4 matches. They overcame a stubborn Clyst Vale 5-4, with Ringswell top pair of Steve Rice and Richard Burns playing like they did in their golden years to win all 3 matches. The Clyst Vale pairs of James Allum/Jason Gibbins and Steve Thompson/Dan Cordey picked up 2 wins.
