March Ladies Report

In Division 2, second place Otter Vale’s Teresa Simic, Su Cotton, Heather Rake and newly registered Claire Ross celebrated a 6-0 victory over Clyst Vale in straight games.


In Division 3A, Honiton’s Helena Williams, Janet Ingram, Sue Fallows and Zaria Taylor enjoyed a 5-1 win when they played Cranford B.  Cranford’s point was picked up by Mo Martin and Lianne O’Donnell.


Cranford B’s Marilyn Gerrard, Mo Martin, Carol Duran and Lianne O’Donnell were pleased to pick up their first win of the season when they beat Raleigh 5-1. Raleigh’s point was won by Debby Yates and Angela Bolt.


Division leaders Sidmouth’s Ruth Scrivens, Sarah Bond, Grace Williams and Linda McCracken were not slow to take advantage of Raleigh still recovering after their previous night’s mixed match as they triumphed 6-0 without dropping a game.


In Division 1,Exeter’s Sue Colwill, Julia Melling, Suzanne Owens and Bridgette Jones drew 3 –all with rivals Ringswell A’s Claire Harrison, Kate Heller, Becky Bailey and Sharon Strong.  Exeter and Ringswell A are currently tied in joint second place with 29 points with both teams having played 6 matches, won twice and drawn three matches.
Cranford A’s Nikita Smethurst, Lisa Stevens, Claire Hannah and Rowan Despard consolidated their clear lead at the top with 54 points when they triumphed over St Leonards B 6-0 without dropping a game.


 Exeter A’s Suzanne Owens, Vicky Prowse and Theresa Ford achieved a 6-0 win over St Leonards B when the Saints were only able to field three players. The Saints’ Sue Banks and Ruth McLelland succeeded in pushing Exeter to three games in their rubber against Suzanne and Theresa.
