Ladies Report 5 - 2016/2017

 In Division 3A,Cranford's Lisa Stevens, Mo Martin, Sharon Young and Liane O'Donnell beat St Leonards C 4-2.  St Leonards' points were both won over three ends by Rachel Marson partnering Caroline Mace and Anne Trevena in turn.  

Sidmouth's Grace Williams, Sarah Bond and Linda McCracken beat Honiton 6-0 when Honiton only fielded 3 players. With one match left to play against rivals, Chulmleigh, Sidmouth currently lead Division 3A.  It is only Chulmleigh that  can catch them, who have 4 matches left to play.

 
Cranford's Lisa Stevens, Sharon Young. Liane O'Donnell and Karen Cunningham-Smith drew 3-3 with Sidmouth's Grace Williams, Sarah Bond, Hilary Herd and Linda McCracken in a gripping match which saw  4 rubbers decided over three ends.  
 
St Leonards C's Sharon May, Rachel Marson, Caroline Mace and Anne Trevena picked up their first win of the season when they beat a three player Honiton 5-1. Honiton's point was picked up by Janet Ingram and Sue Fallows.  Unfortunately, this was followed by St Leonards C being deducted 2 points after conceding to Sidmouth when they were unable to field a team.
 
In Division 2, St Leonards A's Louise Gubbin, Astrid Janssens, Kay Brewer and Sue Banks  enjoyed another emphatic win when they beat Ringswell B 6-0. The Saints have still just dropped one point all season and lead the Division at this point, with three matches ahead of them. 
 
 Otter Vale A's Teresa Simic, Heather Rake, Claire and Susan Ross clinched a 4-2 victory over  Ringswell  B.  Ringswell's points were won by Sharon Strong and Di Brooker and by Di partnering Anne Jones. 
 
In Division 1, Queens' Sarah Preece, Jackie Kirby, Mancy Raasch-Sotinwa and Kate Povey succeeded in beating Ringswell A 4-2 Ringswell's points were scored by  Jess Hill partnering Sylvia Child and by a walkover final rubber.
 
Exeter suffered a 2 point deduction when they conceded their last match this season 6-0 to Queens as they couldn't raise a team.  
Queens are this season's Division 1 champions with 42 points.  There is one match left to be played in Division 1 between Ringswell A and Exeter B.
