Ladies’ Report
In Division 3A, Sidmouth’s Ruth Scrivens, Sarah Bond, Hilary Herd and Linda McCracken enjoyed a 4-2 victory over Honiton. Honiton’s points were won by the pairings of Sue Fallows & Zaria Taylor and Janet Ingram & Zaria.
In Division 2, Queens’ Sarah Preece, Kate Povey, Laure Theedom and Hannah Down continued their unbeaten run with a 6-0 defeat of Clyst Vale 6-0 without dropping a game in a repeat of their pre-Christmas performance.
In Division 1, St Leonards A’s Louise Gubbin, Kay Brewer, Lynn Dart and Ruth McClelland convincingly beat St Leonards’ B 5-1. Jess Hand and Jill McCord succeeded in picking up the B team’s point.
Cranford A’s Alice Feesey, Nikita Smethurst, Claire Hannah and Sandra Lear beat St Leonards A in a much more closely-fought match than the 6-0 scoreline suggests with half of the rubbers decided in the third end. Cranford A have not conceded a rubber so far this season.
