Clyst Vale men celebrate at the top of "the Clystmas Tree"

In Division 3B only 4 points splits the top 3 teams. Clyst Vale jumped to top spot after their 1st win in 3 matches – a 6-3 victory over Sidmouth B. The Clyst Vale pairs of James Allum/Guy Allum and Steve Thompson/Dan Cordey were unbeaten.
2 pair St Leonards D pulled off one of the shock results of the season with an amazing 5-4 win over Sidmouth B. The Saints pair of Barrie Sharman and Martin Weller was unbeaten with teammates Mike Lamboll and Kaibo Guo winning 2.
Chulmleigh’s Ben Hamill and Mat Older were unbeaten in their teams tense 5-4 win over St Leonards C. Richie Herkes and Adrian Bourner beat the Saints pair of Ant Graham and Kaibo Gui 20-22, 21-14,21-8 to secure the final and decisive winning rubber.
St Leonards C slipped to another 5-4 reverse, this time against Clyst Vale. Steve Thompson and Dan Cordey starred with 3 wins for Clyst Vale, with James and Guy Allum wining the crucial 9th rubber 21-16, 21-18 on their way to 2 wins.
Sidmouth B are still searching for their first win following a 6-3 reverse at the hands of Chulmleigh. All the Chulmleigh team of Ben Hamill/Matt Older (3), Richie Herkes/Adrian Bourner (2) and Paul Smith/Matt Hamill (1) contributed to the win.
Cranford A are the new leaders of Division 1. Mark Trebble and Zac Phillips led from the front with 3 wins in their teams 5-4 win over Exeter B, backed up with a brace of wins from Jack Langlois and Vernon Smeed. The Trebble/Phillips combo also came away unbeaten in the 7-2 win over Ringswell A. Teammates Vernon Smeed, this time partnered with Mark Anderson and Jack Langlois, partnered with Barry Smethurst picked up 2 wins apiece. Ringswell A had Nigel Osborne and Callum Owens to thank for their 2 points.
Ringswell A ended their 3 match losing streak with a morale boosting 8-1 win over Exeter B. It was a fine all round team performance from Callum Owens/Nigel Osborne (3), Paul Owens/Jordan Medcroft-Coltman (3) and Ian Walsh/Andy Taylor (2).
3 wins from the Queens A top pair of Ben Watkins and Owen Diment were in vain as their team stumbled to a 5-4 reverse at the hands of a battling Exeter A. Exeter’s pairs of Sam Lees and Geoff Littler and Gareth Pearse and Jamie Samuels both bagged 2 wins whilst A team debutant Alexey Bessudnov and partner Tom Phillips picked up a solitary but decisive win.
Sidmouth A are the in form team in Division 2. Their latest win was a comprehensive 7-2 win over St Leonards A with Chris Bird/Simon Heuson and Paul Carter/John Carter picking up 3 wins each.
St Leonards A bounced back to beat University 5-4. The saints looked on track for a larger win after storming to an early 4-0 lead, but the students fought back with Steven Ford/Sam Allen winning 2. However Tim Wardale and Adrian Wijay won all 3 for St Leonards including the winning rubber 21-15, 21-15 against Ian Mak and Steve Thomas.
Cranford B had a 9-0 walkover against Queens B due to the last minute unavailability of the hall.
